My first strength coach taught me to trade in bench press, curls and jogging for squats, deadlifts and sprints and I owe all of my athletic success to him (thanks Dave Watkins).  I have always been passionate about sports and human performance so after graduating from St. FX University in Human Kinetics I began coaching others to do the same.  When I found CrossFit in 2005, I thought “what’s new about this?”  Then I did “Grace” and almost died.  I fell in love with the competitive nature of Crossfit and I was amazed at the results for myself and my clients. My goal is to bring professional coaching and elite fitness to anyone willing to work hard enough to achieve it.  “All I want is everything you’ve got!”  Come join us and be amazed by what you can accomplish.

Matt Adamcheck

Matt has been doing CrossFit since 2008 when he was active in the United States Army’s 82nd Airborne Division as an Infantry soldier. He was quick to catch onto CrossFit because he saw its effectiveness in training soldiers to push their limits at any given moment, the camaraderie it grew between his men, and most importantly, its effectiveness to get/keep soldiers in peak physical condition.
After being released from active duty he has been aggressively learning Exercise Science and Kinesiology to better him as an athlete and most importantly a coach. He constantly is putting the gym members on there toes with new moves and odd rep schemes they could never imagine!

Mike is probably best known in the area as Salem High Schools Varsity running back coach. He is a great family man and is happily married but nothing makes him prouder than his son Landon, and his future TWIN daughters (expected in june). Mark Hughes

While growing up, fitness and sports was a large part of Mark’s life. Every single day, you could find him in his back yard practicing shots (playing basketball). He loved playing basketball, which he learned from his best friend Lamont Toliver, an active athlete himself.  During this stage of my life I wasn’t into lifting weights because I thought it would throw my shot off like most B-Ball players. I firmly believed that if I were in better shape than my competition I would win.

One night while watching a infomercial I saw the body for life transformations and decided that I was no longer going to be the skinny guy, needless to say 90 days later I had packed on 20 pounds of muscle and that is what changed my life. Since then I’ve become a sponge to anything that has to do with fitness. I have educated myself by getting certified as a personal trainer and massage therapist, to better understand the body and it functions.

A female friend of mine told me about crossfit and every since that first class it has become my new drug. My passion is to help educate train and transform everyone that I can to be the most mentally tough and physically fit individual that they can be.

Jessica Finlay

I got into Yoga as a way to increase my range of motion when I was kickboxing in 2001.

I loved it so much I decided I would go get certified, and teach the style, flow and pace I like that is more geared to athletes. And that’s exactly what I did; In 2003 I became Yoga Certified with YogaFit, Hermosa Beach, CA.

I always try and change it up in my classes and teach new pose’s to keep my students interested and excited about Yoga. I like Fast Flow, and really working up a sweat. In my Yoga classes I give modifications for every pose, Each Pose is built upon or modified given your comfort level.  I have taught classes at Plymouth CrossFit with ages ranging from 6-65 years of age. Everyone is welcome no matter your fitness level, flexibility or age. See you on the mat.

Namaste`
